Susana P. Solano

Ms. Solano represents employers in all employment matters, such as discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, and retaliation cases, as well as wage and hour matters. Her trial experience includes defending an employer through a five-week class action trial involving allegations of violations of wage and hour laws. She also counsels management on wage and hour compliance, discipline and termination, arbitration agreements, sick leave, employee handbooks, and laws affecting payroll and personnel decisions.

Ms. Solano regularly appears before various administrative agencies, such as the Labor Commissioner, Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board, and Department of Fair Employment and Housing.

Ms. Solano is fluent in Spanish and often drafts or translates settlement agreements, employee handbooks, and employment contracts.

While in law school, Ms. Solano participated in the Immigration Law Clinical Program. Prior to law school, she worked as a research coordinator and assisted in intervention programs for adolescents, citywide educational campaigns on mental health, and research on mental health issues.
