Jenifer Gee

Ms. Gee, an associate attorney in the firm, represents public and private sector clients in the areas of natural resources and water law. She focuses on regulatory compliance, water rights, water quality, administrative law and land-use matters.

Legal Experience

Ms. Gee performs a variety of legal services for both public and private sector clients, including in-depth legal research and analysis, regulatory compliance assistance and litigation-related support. Specific areas of experience include:

  • Endangered Species Acts (Federal and State)
  • National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA)
  • California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA)
  • National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Permits
  • California Water Rights

Prior to and during law school, Ms. Gee gained a wealth of practical experience through various internships and law clerk positions, including a summer associate position at Kronick where she worked with attorneys in the natural resources department. As a summer associate, Ms. Gee researched and drafted memoranda on a variety of legal issues, including notice violations under the ESA, groundwater ordinances, impact of changes to statutory law, and environmental property rights disputes. Other examples of Ms. Gee’s experience include:

  • As a judicial extern for the Honorable Kimberly Mueller in the Eastern District of California, Ms. Gee drafted legal memorandums, reviewed trial briefs, and performed legal research.
  • As a competitor on her law school's moot court team, Ms. Gee excelled in both oral advocacy and appellate writing to advance from the regional rounds to the national level of her competitions.  She was awarded Top Oral Advocate at one regional competition and she and her teammates earned the fifth best brief in the 2016 National American Bar Association Appellate Advocacy Competition.
